NW Oregon Transit Alliance Meets May 10th at the Columbia County Transit Office

WTS Portland's Project of the Year: North by Northwest Connector

the Portland Chapter of WTS will present its “Project of the Year” award to CONNECTOR partners at their upcoming winter gala. In addition to celebrating the project’s regional coordination accomplishments, the WTS award also highlights women in key leadership roles on the project. TRANSIT ALLIANCE WINS INNOVATION AWARD!

The Northwest Oregon Transit Alliance recently received an award for transit innovation from the Oregon Transit Association. The award was given to the transit alliance for its landmark project for Oregon to improve inter-agency coordination, brand and market transit service in all five counties as a single seamless service, offer transit as an asset for economic development, and establish private-public partnerships for sustainable funding.

The CONNECTOR Alliance is a partnership of: Columbia County Rider, Sunset Empire Transportation District, Tillamook County Transportation District, Benton County Transit, and Lincoln County Transit.

These five partners are taking action to:

Improve transit connections between northwestern Oregon communities.
Brand and market transit service in all five counties as a single seamless service.
Build community partnerships to increase transit ridership while promoting regional business and economic development opportunities.
Implement sustainable funding strategies for continued transit system development.
